Forest Baptist Church

OUR PASTOR

 

Sue Wilson Radel has been the Pastor of Forest Baptist Church since October 2009. Since then, the church has seen many positive changes and membership has greatly increased. Pastor Sue grew up in Central Pennsylvania as the youngest of four, with hard working, Christian parents.

Pastor Sue has had a long career in community and drug/alcohol prevention education as well as diversity inclustion at both Penn State and Bucknell Universities.  

 

Pastor Sue started lay speaking in 2006 in a four point charge in SnowShoe, PA before becoming a full-time pastor in the Forest area. In 2008, she became an assistant pastor at Forest Emmanuel United Methodist Church located just a quarter mile from Forest Baptist Church. Since being called to Forest Baptist, she has baptized over 50 people in the Susquehanna River including her husband, Dave and daughters Arielle and Skyler.

 

Pastor Sue completed the Family Development Credentialing program in 2005, and Beginning and Advanced Lay Speaking courses in the UM church prior to being called as an American Baptist. Pastor Sue has been attending the Academy of Christian Training and Service since 2015 and will complete her studies in 2018.

Pastor Sue currently resides in Northumberland, PA with Dave and her dogs Wubbie and Marley and cats Jinxy and Bella.

Sue enjoys her family, the outdoors, photography, canoeing, reading and of course preaching about God’s word!
